Hello there and welcome back to My Creative Space!
I have to admit my space has been slow lately - combination of heat, holidays and exhaustion has left me lacking the creative spirit. Certainly wasn't the plan for the holidays - esp when I spent more than $300 at Tessuti during the break!
Before the lull started though I did made this dress from Vogue 8552 . I did have A LOT of help from Mum (Thanks Mum!). So happy with the result - I even wore it to Christmas Eve celebrations.
The other craft that's been keeping me going in the lull is Granny Squares for my blanket. I'm very happy with how it's looking. Even if I did totally make up how to stitch them together... I had no idea you were suppose to crochet them together... I just stitched them with a wool needle and the yarn I used for the boarder.

Nice dress - very festive, indeed! I didn't know you had to crochet the squares together either! Looks great! Nic
ReplyDeleteThe granny squares are looking great! I keep seeing these blankets and thinking I really ought to be making one as a background project....
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to crochet the squares together - you can sew or crochet! There are no rules, well, as far as I'm concerned!
ReplyDeleteWow your stitched together grannies look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe granny squares are looking great! I don't have enough patience with crochet. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is unispired to craft in the heat!
