At 6pm though plans changed again, we were unable to get the tickets and it was too late to make it to the Owls meet so Mum and I found we had a free night to spend together.
We spent the evening learning how to make Kanzashi flowers from Kanzashi in Bloom and watching Handmade Nation.
Here is the brooch I madeNot too bad for a first attempt and I'm hoping to do a Brown Owls workshop on them in April.
Sometimes plans don't work out liked you planned but it's those times are sometimes the most fun! This time it was great - I found time to be a bit creative!

an accident, something that goes wrong is never a disaster ... it's an opportunity. and you grabbed it with both hands ... to make such pretty flowers. well done to you and your mother.

ReplyDeleteI love the way you made the best of what could have been a frustrating night. I love the little flower brooch, I bet the other Owls will love making them too xo
ReplyDeleteGreat brooch - I will have to look up your links, I wondered how they were made.
ReplyDeleteLove the brooch! and I love the look of the frock you have it on too :) K
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to try this....it always looks so nice. Is it hard to so?
ReplyDeleteClever work - I'll have to look up how to make them! Great use of a "spare" evening.
